History: Made by the same family in the Loire Valley since 1885, Menthe Pastille was first made as a cure for indigestion by pharmacist Emile Giffard. Less sweet and syrupy than its green cousin creme de menthe, Giffard Menthe Pastille is a clear liqueur. Today Emile's great grandson, Bruno continues to make Menthe Pastille according to the original recipe. Its distinct clean flavor comes from English peppermint.
