Tart's New Menu, Punch Bowls and Jump-in-the-Pool Specials

Tart's new chef Nick Erven (Mess Hall) has been whipping up new menu items at the Farmer's Daughter Hotel - you know, the quirky blue building across from The Grove and Original Farmer's Market. In addition to a sloppy vegetarian sandwich made with fried Brussels sprouts, golden raisins, capers and lemon-mascarpone spread, there's shrimp and grits, new salads, and other Southern-inspired dishes and desserts. On the new cocktail list, look for punch bowls for groups, including a tea punch with peach nectar and vodka, and another with whiskey and apple cider ($25 for a half bowl, $40 for a whole). And this weekend on National Fried Chicken Day on Saturday (July 6), get a bucket of chicken and your choice of three sides for $25. About those pool specials: as usual, if you jump in the pool on July 4 with your clothes on, you get half off your meal.
