15 East and Tocqueville, seem intent on taking over the Union Square culinary scene. They just opened The Fourth, an American Brasserie on the East Side of the square (witness the killer art in this video) and they're also running SingL, a whiskey centric lounge that's adjacent to the space. Well, it doesn't stop there.
We just learned that the team will open Botequim, a new stand-alone restaurant that shares an address with The Fourth. The eatery is slated to debut this fall and will feature a menu inspired by South America that's cooked in an open kitchen - think whole fish and roasted suckling pig. The spot takes its name from the Brazilian venues that serve as casual gathering spots and it will feature a six seat chefs table (132 Fourth Ave.).
