Now Open: Tardis-Inspired Coffee Shop, More Donuts and Tacos

These are a few of our favorite things: donuts, tacos and coffee. Not necessarily in that order, and sometimes all at the same time. Luckily, three new food peddlers are open to satiating all of our guilty pleasures.

Bad Wolf Coffee
This coffee shop might double as a portal to another time and place. Named after a Doctor Who storyline, the cafe even houses a mural of the character's blue police box. The shop is owned by a chef whose resume includes Schwa, and it serves coffee as well as sweet and savory pastries underneath the Paulina Brown Line station (3422 N. Lincoln Ave.; 773-969-2346).

Flacos Tacos
The third location of the local taco chain is now open in a bi-level taco sanctuary. The menu remains the same, with tacos, quesadillas, daily specials and flavored margaritas. The decor is as colorful as the cocktails with green, red and blue tables as well as Mexican-inspired artwork (3530 N. Clark St.; 773-975-8226).

Glazed & Infused
More donuts! The gourmet snack empire cannot stop spreading its red velvet and crème brûlée pastries around Chicago, with this fifth location arriving in River North (30 E. Hubbard St.).
