Befriending a local and getting invited over for dinner in a foreign land just might the holy grail for a traveler. The new website EatWith is making it easy, hooking up foodie tourists with locals willing to cook a meal in their homes. Current experiences on offer? Homemade paella from a backyard grill in Toledo, Spain; a nine-course meal at a family farm outside Florence, Italy; a BYOB Thai-Brazilan feast in a Sao Paolo apartment. Users pay anywhere from $20 up to $100 or more depending on the experience with the site collecting 15%. Hosts are vetted by the website and there's a $1 million insurance plan should something go wrong. Would you give it a try? Or would you want to host tourists in your home? What's the best locals dining experience you've had while traveling?

  1. I'm curious for your next post. Excellent post. Keep writing such kind of information on your blog. I'm amazed, I have to admit. Seldom do I come across a blog that's both equally educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you've hit the nail on the head. The issue is an issue that not enough folks are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy I stumbled across this in my hunt for something relating to this. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Wishing you best of luck..
