Main Line Closings: Georges’ and Chops

Tonight is the last night of service for Georges’, the Wayne dining room opened by Georges Perrier more than a decade ago, The Insider reports. Like other venues that still had his name attached, the infamous French chef was no longer involved with the restaurant. Still, the closing effectively removes the last trace of Perrier from area operations.

Last weekend was the swan song for both locations of Chops, one of which was in Bala Cynwyd and the other on Walnut Street near Independence Hall. According to The Insider, both spots will be converted into office space. Perhaps we can take that as proof that the steakhouse era is also officially over.
