Hangovers Cost the Government Billions in Lost Productivity

Still nursing a patriotic hangover from the long weekend? We're with you. But did you know that your post-night-out work ethic is probably costing the government money? Apparently hangovers cost the government $220 billion in lost productivity - that's $1.90 per drink according to the CDC, most of which can be accounted for by lost workplace productivity. But surprisingly, only a mere 15% of us are responsible for over three-quarters of the costs. Check out all the stats in this interesting survey here. [via The Atlantic]
