Ghaya Oliveira Named Pastry Chef at Daniel

Daniel Boulud's fine-dining flagship Daniel is consistently ranked as one of the top five restaurants in NYC (it was number four in our 2013 New York City Restaurants Survey), and things are getting sweeter in the pastry section of the kitchen. Boulud just announced that Ghaya Oliveira, who has been executive pastry chef at Bar Boulud and Boulud Sud, is taking over the role of executive pastry chef at the restaurateur's namesake. Corporate pastry chef Eric Bertoia is still going to oversee the kitchen at the Lincoln Center outposts, and Tyler Atwell, formerly of The Mandarin Oriental, is going to be the new pastry chef in residence.
