Food & Wine Magazine Teams Up With Delta for Cooking Competition

Chicken or pasta? When it comes to airline food, the message is generally take what you can get. But Delta might be changing that. The airline has teamed up with Food & Wine magazine to launch a video cooking contest called The Cabin Pressure Cook Off to find its newest chef, ABC News reports. It's got some serious heavyweights stepping up to the stove: Hugh Acheson of Empire State South, Five & Ten and The National; Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene and Holeman & Finch Public House; Kelly English of Restaurant Iris and The Second Line fame; and George Mendes of Aldea. Airing in October on delta.com, foodandwine.com and on Delta's in-flight entertainment, the four-episode contest will consist of culinary challenges, pitting the chefs against each other to shake up airline cuisine. The winner will get to consult with Delta on creating new menus for flights departing from Atlanta. Who do you think will dish out the best fare? Who would be your dream in-flight chef?
