First Look: King Noodle Opens Tonight in Bushwick

A new "Pop-Asian" spot from exec chef Nick Subic (Roberta's, Do or Dine) and pastry chef and Zagat 30 Under 30 Katy Peetz called King Noodle is opening tonight in Bushwick. The menu offers a spin on some classic Asian dishes including spicy wings with three skulls sauce, spam fried rice and kimchee carbonara with optional crushed Doritos. Wowza.
Keith Kenji Cochran, also a partner at The Narrows down the street, is in charge of the cocktail and bar program which ranges from pitchers of Budweiser and Sapporo Tall Cans to tiki-inspired drinks like Mai Tais, Zombies and Scorpion Bowls (served on fire in volcano-shaped bowls). The brightly colored space (a former bar) will feature a coral reef-themed mural adorning the walls commissioned by Bushwick artists Andrew Steiner and Damon Anderson of Secret Handshake.
