Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream is aiming for a November opening of a second shop, located in the food-heavy environs of the Ferry Building Marketplace, and owners Jake Godby and Sean Vahey and Shift Design Studio have provided this first peek of what it will look like. Patrons and passersby will be greeted by the company's iconic two-headed calf logo (which staffers will wear on their shirts as well). The formerly closed off space will be opened and brightened up so people can come in and hang out.
Among the design features planned are lit apothecary jars on the back wall that display some of the more fun and unusual ingredients used in the flavors, a product wall that unfolds out into the Marketplace hallway and a grab-and-go area for pints that bypasses the scoop line. The shop will carry HumpSlo classics such as Secret Breakfast and Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee as well as at least one exclusive new Ferry Building flavor.
