Le Viet is probably South Philly’s fanciest Vietnamese restaurant, but this summer, you're invited to eat with your hands. A new menu of finger food snacks includes Asian sliders (on steamed buns) with grilled beef, pork, chicken or shrimp. Also on the new list are “pop” wings, deep fried and served with a sweet and tangy glaze, and summer rolls with peanut sauce.
A new set of summer drink goes along with the no-utensil snacks, including the 60-oz. Twin Scorpion Tails bowl - at $22, not bad. During 4-6 PM weekday happy hour, select cocktails are $5, and the finger foods are also discounted - four wings for $2.75, for example. Now there’s no reason to worry about messing with chopsticks or asking for a fork. Just use your hands (215-463-1570).
