One of the more accessible - and tastiest - food events of the season is back for its eighth year: East LA Meets Napa, the food and wine fiesta celebrating Mexican food and Latino-owned vineyards, hits Union Station on Friday night, July 19. Sample dishes from top restaurants like Rivera, Guelaguetza, Mas Malo, Loteria Grill, Chichen Itza, Guisados, Rocio's Mole and more, plus top California wines from more than 30 producers. The courtyard at Union Station is the perfect al fresco setting, but even better: you can take a train there and back, which is good for vino lovers and parking (it's horrible at Union Station). Fácil. Tickets are $200, with proceeds going to AltaMed Health Services; get them here. 6-9 PM (800 N. Alameda St.).
