Cocktail Hour: Narcissus Beer from Black Star Co-Op

On Tuesday Black Star Co-Op Pub and Brewery, the only beer co-op in the world (which is, of course, right here in the ATX) released the last brew in its “Ego Series”: the Narcissus. The hoppy beer melds three types of hops: Citra, Centennial and Nelson Sauvin. Drinkers like its “clean, malty body to help balance the aggressive hops and bitterness.”

Earlier in the summer Black Star released the Nemesis, using only gluten-free ingredients like white sorghum, Belgian dark candi sugar, lemon peel, coriander and fermented with Belgian and English yeast.

Fortunately, both of these beers and the Black Star classics all go great with their absolutely addicting fries.
