Best Traditional American Restaurants in 8 U.S. Cities

Sandwiches at Cutty's in Brookline, MA
With the Fourth only days away we're feeling patriotic, so it's time to give a shout-out to some of the best traditional American joints around the U.S. From steakhouses to barbecue shacks and burger joints, check out our top two Traditional American eateries each in eight of our blog cities in the slide show.

  1. Once again Zagat has done it. Del Frisco's is a Dallas based concern and they ignore Dallas. I certainly appreciate them recognizing Del Frisco, But come on ZAGAT get out side of your comfort zone and try some new towns once and a while.

  2. Mr Bartley's Overcrowded Tourist Attraction perhaps. I'm sure its good - it takes a good thing to attract sufficient crowds to spoil it.

  3. I'm with Headhunter! What's with this intense focus on just a few of your "blog cities!" The majority of your readers have got to be from elsewhere. I'm from Cleveland. We have FABULOUS chefs and restaurants. There are many cities with wonderful fare. Branch out please. I rarely open the zagat emails anymore because of the limited focus.
