Best Thing We Ate This Weekend: Summer Bean Salad at Lenoir

We didn’t think it could get any better than the heirloom tomato salad with watermelon, basil yogurt foam and tamarind vinaigrette, but chef Todd Duplechan at Lenoir has outdone himself with the delicate yet addicting summer green bean salad. Think slightly crisp green beans with a salty, slightly cheesy egg gribiche over a sweet corn puree, with shishito peppers and cherry tomatoes on top. Thank goodness no one judged us as we licked the plate. The menu changes often at Lenoir, and corn will only be in season for a few more weeks, so we advise you make reservations now.
