Last night we gorged on oysters at Foreign & Domestic’s oyster happy hour. The North Loop restaurant hosts the HH every Tuesday, and it’s not uncommon to wait 45 minutes for your chance to stack up the half shells. While fresh, cool oysters are the perfect thing to eat on a hot summer day (or night), the dish that stole our heart was the warm baby octopus salad with onions and fresh parsley. The flavorful broth had hints of lemongrass too, and the crispy shallot on top added a nice crunch to the tender tentacles. Our server advised us to dip F&D’s famous gruyere popovers in the broth after we’d finished off the octopus, and boy, was she right.
