While many shows are taking a breather for the summer, the food TV machine is hardly slowing down with the premiere of Top Chef Masters next week on July 24 at 10 PM ET. We'll be documenting all the action on TCM right here, but in early August, there's a slew of new programming coming your way as well.

First up, Destination America is premiering a new series called Deep-Fried Masters that will delve into the bizarro world of fried fare at American state fairs. Expert judges will put competitors through three rounds of challenges in each episode. Look for it on August 5 at 10 PM ET/PT.

Also premiering August 5 is a new series called The Shed (Food Network) that will spotlight the Orrisons who founded The Shed, one of Mississippi's most popular barbecue spots. The show documents the cult following of their 'cue and the colorful lives of the Orrison family and their devotees.

On August 11 at 9PM ET/PT, as previously reported, Bravo will debut its new food world docu-series, Eat Drink Love, which will follow the lives of five restaurant industry ladies in Los Angeles. The series stars Eater LA editor Kat Odell, pastry chef Waylynn Lucas, culinary publicist Brenda Urban, private chef Nina Clemente and culinary marketing specialist Jessica Miller. Check out the trailer here.

Also on August 11, Food Network is rolling out a new cooking competition series called Cutthroat Kitchen, hosted by Alton Brown, in which four competitors will face three rounds of cooking plus "auctions" wherein chefs bid to help themselves or hurt their opponents, all vying for a suitcase containing $100,000. Basically it's like Chopped with a psychological twist.
