Weight is money when it comes to airlines. So one Indian airline has a new policy in its quest to lighten its load. Budget airline GoAir has announced that it will only hire lightweight female flight attendants, the Huffington Post reports. The 130 males currently employed will not be laid off, but the 2,000 new flight attendants expected to be hired over the next seven years will be female only. Other airlines tough on weight? Thai Airways in 2011 gave employees who exceeded a certain GMI and waist line measurement six months to lose weight. And Turkish Airlines issued a similar mandate in 2010. So much for the friendly skies.
