Abby Lane Launches Weekend Brunch

Good news for matinee audiences: starting on Saturday, July 13, Theater District spot Abby Lane begins serving weekend brunch. The restaurant from Hell’s Kitchen alum chef Jason Santos, located directly across the street from the Citi Performing Arts Center, will roll out a menu featuring fresh cinnamon donuts and dipping sauces, a breakfast pizza (boasting bacon and sunny side-up eggs) and blue corn and blueberry pancakes (to match Santos’s trademark hair, of course). There are also creative brunch cocktails, like the Gin & Jam (which uses strawberry jam and is served with a donut) and the Cure for the Common Hangover, a bourbon-meets-carrot juice concoction.

Though the theaters are nearby, it was Abby Lane that hosted auditions earlier this week: dozens of chefs showed up for Hell’s Kitchen tryouts. “It was very important in helping to establish me as a notable chef here in town,” says Santos of his HK experience. That encouraged him to loan his space for the local contestant search. “I wanted to pay it forward to some of Boston’s talented chefs to see if they could get the same chance that I did.”

Abby Lane brunch will be offered every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 AM-3 PM.
