A New Weekly Food Festival Arrives in Wicker Park

Because Chicago can’t get enough of the al fresco offerings at summer street fests, a new food festival will bring local vendors to Wicker Park every Saturday. The Nosh showcases vendors such as First Slice, Dia de los Tamales, Da Lobsta, Rare Bird Preserves and Karl’s Craft Soup in the parking lot of A.N. Pritzker School. According to DNA Info, the alcohol-free market is inspired by Brooklyn’s Smorgasburg.

Each vendor at The Nosh, including some food trucks, will sell goods out of a 10 by 10 tent. Menus must include no fewer than four items under a $10 price point, one of which will be available for less than $5. Founder Alan Kannof described it as “a farmer's market without the farmers." Kannof also specially selects each week's lineup of vendors to avoid duplicate offerings. The first market is on July 13 from 11 AM-6 PM, and will recur every weekend until October.
