1,500 Pounds of Heritage Pork at Epic by Cochon This Weekend

There will be nearly a literal ton of heritage pork served at the Ritz-Carlton this Sunday, when over 20 of Philly’s most meat-facile chefs descend on 10 Arts for Epic by Cochon. The tasting event is a spinoff of the infamous Cochon 555 traveling cook-off, and even though the Philly gathering is not a competition, you can be sure each chef will be bringing their “A” game (or is that “P” game?). Chefs all over town have already received their heritage pigs, and begun preparing them with love (sometimes a little too much love). Six teams - including Garces Group, Vetri Family, Starr Restaurants and other local faves - will collaborate on head-to-tail pork dishes, plus there’s a tartare bar, a cheese and beer pairing bar, a scrapple station and more. A $135 ticket gets you access to all the goods at 5 PM, or spring for the VIP at $200 for an hour early access with an oyster bar and special offal offerings. See you there?
