Treat Dad (or Yourself) to the Collabrewtive Brunch for Father's Day

Beer + coffee + food. There is nothing wrong with that equation. Firestone Walker Brewing and Food GPS are throwing a Father's Day shindig for anyone over cliche bbq and brunch buffets. The Collabrewtive Brunch features local six craft brewers, six coffee roasters and six chefs who will create coffee-and-beer-friendly bites for the afternoon. Some things you might find: spiced ricotta fritters with stonefruit and bitter hone from Sotto's Steve Samson and Zach Pollack; maple yogurt with roasted peaches and crispy freekeh from Littlefork's Jason Travi; and savory kougin amman turnovers from Huckleberry's Zoe Nathan. Couple those with Beachwood BBQ & Brewing's imperial stout infused with Armenian coffee from Costa Mesa's Portola Coffee Lab, or Mildly Handsome beer, Golden Road's West Coast-style mild ale made with Handsome Coffee Roaster's coffee, and you've got yourself a pretty tasty afternoon for Dad (or Mom or us).

Other featured chefs include John Sedlar (Rivera); Roxana Jullapat and Dan Mattern (Cooks County); and Ori Menashe and Genevieve Gergis (Bestia); and brew collaborations from Firestone and Intelligentsia; Eagle Rock Brewery and Tierra Mia; Cismontane and Caffe Luxxe; and Ladyface Ale Company and LAMILL. The brunch takes place from 11:30 AM- 2:30 PM at Lot 613 in Downtown LA. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the door, and kids 12 and under get in for half price. Some proceeds go to Share Our Strength.
