Taste of the Nation this weekend, in addition to its being one of the biggest food events of the year. One, it's back at Media Park in Culver City, a much nicer venue than last year's blacktop parking lot. Two, there are a slew of local chefs, mixologists and beerheads ready to serve you, including Ray Garcia from Fig, Jason Neroni from Superba Snack Bar, Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken from Street and Border Grill, David LeFevre from MB Post and Fishing With Dynamite, and many more. Three, VIP ticket holders will get a taste of Danny Bowien's fare from SF and NYC's Mission Chinese.
Of course there will be lots of icy cocktails, wine, desserts, a fun live auction and tons of good stuff in the silent auction. All proceeds help battle childhood hunger via the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, California Food Policy Advocates, St. Joseph Center and California Association of Food Banks. The event takes place from 1-4 PM on Sunday, June 9. Tickets are $110 per person, or $160 for VIP. Pick them up here.
