The Best Thing We Drank Last Night: New Cocktails at The Breslin

We recently told you about a cocktail revamp at April Bloomfield's meaty temple The Breslin in the Ace Hotel, and last night we swung by to try some of Sam Anderson's new libations. He's behind the list at Bloomfield's Salvation Taco, and we had high expectations since the drinks are one of our favorite thing about that haunt. This new list, with libations named after albums, did not disappoint. We loved the Fever to Tell (pictured above) - a mix of Old Overholt Rye, Calabrian chili, cynar, lemon, mint - and were intrigued by the Down in Albion, which is the first drink we've seen that makes use of balsamic vinegar (here mixed with thyme-infused gin, campari and Dolin Rouge).

We've spent a lot of time in Bloomfield's haunts and have very fond memories of the food (who can forget the first time that pig's foot gets dropped on your table?). Now we're happy to add the drinks to that list.
