Summer Events: Tacolandia and LA Weekly's Pancake Breakfast

Aji tostada from Guerilla Tacos
If you're looking for more themed food events for the summer, LA Weekly has a couple up their sleeve, and tickets are on sale now. Tacolandia takes place at the Hollywood Palladium on June 23, which is, as you guessed, a celebration of the great LA taco and other Mexican bites. Curated by Bill Esparza (Street Gourmet LA), the parking lot will be filled with more than 30 "taco creators" from around LA, Orange County and Baja, including well knowns like Bizarra Capital (crossing fingers for lamb chorizo tostadas), Chichen Itza and Mexicali Taco Co., plus street food from Guerrilla Tacos and Mariscos Jalisco, and Baja's Tacos Kokopelli and so much more. And it's priced right - $40 for VIP, which gets you food and beer, or $20 for general admission. Noon to 5 PM. Get more info and tickets here.

Additionally, restaurants for the annual Pancake Breakfast will be selected by KCRW's "Good Food" host, Evan Kleiman. The breakfast-themed fete is more than just pancakes, however, with brunch-y items from 30 or so restaurants. The breakfast takes place at the Vibiana in Downtown LA on August 11, 11 AM-2 PM. Tickets are a mere $30. Get them here.
