To celebrate the start of summer, Heirloom LA is planning a camp-themed dinner at The Salon, the private tasting room in Eagle Rock, on Friday, June 28. That means appetizers and cocktails around the garden out back, Matt Poley cooking in the middle of the custom-designed round table in the dining room, lots of great wine and many courses of fresh seasonal food.

The menu includes passed apps like skewered pigs in a blanket, quail eggs in a hole, cast-iron pizza, and smoked trout potato croquettes; wood-fired zucchini salad with pea tendrils, wild arugula and house-made ricotta; smoked wild boar "chili pasta fagioli"; whole salmon grilled over Weiser Farm applewood; and corn cakes with wild foraged summer berries. $150 per person. With fewer than 30 seats in the room, tickets are limited. Go here for reservations and the menu.
