Somerville American restaurant Foundry on Elm is featuring special beer-tasting menus on Wednesday nights. The menus feature two courses along with two 12-ounce brews (a different brewer each week) so you can get an idea of what goes with what. Looking ahead to July, West Bridge in Cambridge is celebrating executive chef Matthew Gaudet’s win of Food & Wine Best New Chef. Gaudet is crafting special eight-course tasting menus that will showcase his innovative French cooking using the best of New England bounty. The special menus will be available on Wednesday evenings beginning July 3 through July 31. The tasting menus will be $110 per person, $165 to include wine or cocktail pairings, excluding tax and gratuity (617-945-0221).
