Sam Jacobson, Sycamore in Lansdowne earned a great reputation and much acclaim - especially for a small, suburban BYO. For a little while, Steve Kozak was running the kitchen, but now he’s gone and owner Stephen Wagner has a new toque in charge: Malisha Gossette.
Gossette has been working on and off in the kitchens of both Sycamore and the now-shuttered NoBL for the past four years, Wagner tells us. “She did some amazing work in the final months of NoBL, and I'm thrilled to have her at Sycamore now,” the proprietor says, adding, “She runs the kitchen brilliantly.”
A full menu overhaul is coming this summer, but Gossette has already freshened up quite a few dishes. On the menu for Father’s Day, for example, are oysters on the half shell with Sriracha-lime cocktail sauce and a lamb tartare with mint. We’ll keep you posted on more reasons to make the 20 minute trip west for dinner.
