Le Bouchon Celebrates 20 Years With Dinner Discounts

By Sarah Freeman
Le Bouchon is the quiet little French bistro in Bucktown. After 20 years, it remains a destination for traditional French cuisine and refined service. The restaurant celebrates surviving two decades by serving all entrees for $19.93 (the year the restaurant opened) today though Saturday. Signature dishes include sautéed rabbit with white wine sauce, roasted duck for two with Bigarade sauce as well as sautéed veal sweetbreads with fried egg and Romesco sauce. These dishes are prepared by executive chef Jean-Claude Poilevey, originally from the Burgundy region of France. Sous chef Oliver Poilevey recently joined him after working at the sister restaurant, La Sardine. Together the duo continue strive to not change a thing - something very refreshing in a city where restaurant open faster than we can get a reservation.
