How To Get a Reservation at Fat Rice

Fat Rice will be taking reservations for one night. Of course, there is a catch. Diners can’t sit down. The tapas-style summer shindig at Fat Rice dates back to chef/owners Abraham Conlon and Adrienne Lo’s pop-up dinner days at X-Marx. The duo partnered with Perman Wine Selections to celebrate the annual release of Txakoli, a summer wine from the Basque region of Spain with a dry body and crisp finish traditionally poured several feet above the glass.

For the past five years, Conlon and Lo have hosted Txakoholika, a celebration of wine, pintxos and petiscos. This year the event will be held at the restaurant, and reservations will be accepted every half hour between 3 and 9 PM on June 30. Each session will be limited to 20 guests, who can dine on Spanish-style bites and taste five varietals of Txakolina. Tickets cost $55 and can be purchased online.
