Friday Grand Opening for Sto’s Bar, New in Old City

Old City has a new destination for craft beer and happy hour. Attorney Michael Stosic has taken over the former Lulu’s Pizza Bar at 236 Market Street and turned it into Sto’s Bar & Restaurant. The bar has been soft open for a couple of weeks now, and the grand opening party is set for this Friday, June 28, from 8-10:30 PM. Look for a $15 open bar plus free snacks - including the already-popular wings - and drink specials all night long. RSVP via e-mail to get on the list.

In addition to wings, which come in six different flavors, the kitchen at Sto’s serves creative bar food like scrapple sticks with apple compote; Philly cream cheese bites with spicy strawberry sauce; and potato-chip-crusted chicken tenders. A complement of sandwiches, burgers and salads rounds out the menu.

A half-dozen taps provide 16-oz. pours of local craft brews next to exposed brick walls and wood slab tables. Currently on draft you’ll find beer from Yards, Boxcar Brewing, Victory, PBC, Troegs and Prism, and one of these is always $3.50 per pint during weekday happy hour, along with 50-cent wings. There’s also an 80-inch LED TV showing all the games (267-687-8653).
