Forage for Lunch With Chef Tama at Terrain

Foraging for food is the ultimate in sourcing locally, and next weekend you can give it a try first-hand. Chef Tama Matsuoka Wong is the author of Foraged Flavor, a James Beard Award-nominated book on finding eats in your own backyard, and on Saturday, June 22, she’ll lead a group of intrepid guests through the fields of Glen Mills, PA on a search for ingredients followed by a lunch.

Meet at Terrain at 10 AM and spend the morning foraging in the countryside using Wong’s tips and guidance to collect edible finds. Then return to the cafe at Terrain around noon for cocktails and a meal prepared with the very ingredients you gathered earlier. She’ll stick around afterwards for a book signing session. The whole event, including the field trip and the midday meal, will run you $80 (you can attend just the lunch for $30). E-mail to reserve your spot, space is limited.
