Adam Perry Lang Brings Weekly BBQ Pop-Up to Hollywood Parking Lot

If you see smoke near Hollywood & Highland, don't be alarmed. Meat maestro Adam Perry Lang, the classically trained chef turned BBQ champion, is bringing his grill magic to the Jimmy Kimmel Live! parking lot all summer long. Starting July 9, Lang will be manning a two-ton, custom-built Texas burn pit in the lot, surrounded by lawn seating, tables, a VIP bar, and an Airstream that he'll be sleeping in those nights. It's all to celebrate the reissue of his acclaimed cookbook, Serious Barbecue, which comes out on July 20. You'll be eating some serious 'cue, that's for sure.

Lang will be cooking up things like his signature sliced beef short-rib with pickles and sweet onion; pork butt with green apple; beef brisket; and BBQ double-smoked bacon with waffles, among other things (prices range $15-$35). Dig in for lunch from 11:30 AM-2 PM or get take-away BBQ dinners from 4-5 PM. There will be some special invite-only events (cooking demos, bourbon tastings) in the evenings. Things kick off on July 9-10, and follow every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from July through September 5 (6834 Hollywood Blvd.).
