  1. I know the Carolinas aren't LA or New York but there are some great outdoor dining spots here, too.
One of the most unique that also serves incredibly good locally grown food items and has several dozen craft brewed beers on tap at any time is River's Edge Bar & Grill at the National Whitewater Center just outside of Charlotte.
One of the neatest things is the backdrop of kayakers, rafters, zip liners, bikers, etc. You can either join them or sit back and get your exercise by bending your elbow taking sips and bites!

  2. Another goodie is the Rooftop Bar at the Vendue Inn in Charleston. From there you can view the Harbour, Waterfront Park, the Cooper River bridges and historic Fort Sumter. They serve cocktails, lunch and dinner and have been rated the best rooftop bar in charleston for the past eight years.

    1. I stayed at the Vendue Inn over ten years ago when I was a kid. I still remember it as a wonderful hotel. I'll have to make a trip to Charleston to check out its rooftop bar!

  5. Detroit's iconic Rattlesnake Club has a Terrace to rival and match all of these... Scenic and serene, it's right on Detroit's revitalized RiverWalk with lots of greenery and an extensive Chef's Garden. Add The Rattlesnake's acclaimed cuisine, wine-beer-cocktail selections and this is THE place for outdoor dining in Detroit! rattlesnakedetroit.com
