Where to Get Your Cinco de Mayo on Around LA

Spicy margaritas at Loteria Grill
You can go the traditional margarita-fueled route for Cinco de Mayo this year, or try something different like a uniquely delicious taco, a sit-down dinner or... a tequila massage? Any way you look at it, there will be plenty of places to eat and drink on Sunday, May 5. Here's to the 1862 Mexican victory over the French at the battle of Puebla!

Tortilla Republic
It's a full-on block party at the West Hollywood cantina. El Tovar Place and the parking lot next to Tortilla Republic will be closed off for an outdoor celebration with food (tacos), drinks (marg pitchers) and live entertainment from 2-7 PM. Ticket donations, $10 for general admission and $20 for VIP, benefit Project Angel Food. Buy them here.

Border Grill
Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken will be celebrating all weekend long with $5 beers, margaritas, Sonoran hot dogs and tacos at BG Downtown, and a Cinco de Mayo party on the patio with DJs and unlimited small plates for $25 on Sunday. At BG Santa Monica, it's $3 shots and $5 margaritas and draft beers all weekend, and on Sunday there will be taco, taquitos and other food specials.

Feniger goes South of the Border at her Hollywood restaurant with a taco night featuring carnitas, lengua, carne asada, fried duck egg, smoked octopus, chipotle jackfruit, beer-battered okra and more fillings.
