Weekend Planner: Meatballs, Pierogi and Tequila Donuts

Tequila Donuts
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo all weekend long with Taco Joint in Lincoln Park when they collaborate with Glazed & Infused for a special boozy doughnut. The mini margarita doughnuts are made with tequila, fresh lime zest and sea salt. They will be served on Friday and Sautrday (three for $6 or six for $10) (312-951-2457).

Get your fill of 200 wines at the Chicago stop of Wine Spectator’s Grand Tour. Held Friday at Navy Pier, the event includes tastings, information from the winemakers and a buffet to keep you from getting overly sauced. Tickets cost $200 (also known as $1 for every wine in attendance).

Potato pancakes, kielbasa, and imported beer are accompany a pierogi-eating contest during the festival that is held at the Copernicus Center on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $5.
