Virtue Cider's Tasting Room and Bottle Shop Celebrates Grand Opening

Just in time for summer road trips, Virtue Cider opened a Tasting Room and Bottle Shop. The cider company opened in Fennville, MI in June 2011 by Gregory Hall, former brewmaster at Goose Island Brewing Company, on an heirloom apple farm. It distributes three different types of ciders, including Red Streak, The Mitten and Lapinette, in bars across Chicago. Currently, two are on tap at the new tasting room. As new ciders are completed, up to six will be available for tasting. Cider is served in 5 oz. glasses, pints or in growlers. The tasting room doubles as a retail space with t-shirts, tap handles, glassware and bottle openers for sale. Visitors will also get a peek into the processing facility where apples are pressed to make cider.

To celebrate the grand opening, Hall created a new cider called The Ledbury and will be poring it between 5 and 7 PM – you know, if you happen to be in Michigan tonight. The Tasting Room and Bottle Shop is located at 2170 62nd St. in Fennville, MI.
