Lincoln Financial Field might not be the first place you think of when it comes to sipping fine wine, but this weekend the home of the Eagles will be vino central in Philadelphia. On Friday, May 10, the 2013 Philadelphia Wine and Food Festival will take over the stadium’s SCA Club with more than 600 wines and paired bites from dozens of area restaurants, including 10 Arts, Circles Thai, Smokin’ Betty’s, The Mildred, Sbraga and more.

Grand Tasting tickets (aka general admission tickets, but with a much nicer name) are $125 per person, and bring 7-9:30 PM access to the food and drink. PA will have a Fine Wine & Good Spirits store on site, so you can bring home bottles of your favorite sips. There’s also a silent auction benefiting the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

VIP access is still available, too, and grants you early access at 5:30 PM. You’ll get to meet and mingle with winemakers and winery reps, and get first dibs on all the food. Those tickets are $250 and also include $20 toward your first Wine & Spirits store purchase. New this year is a Young Friends Tasting: $75 gets you into an info-packed session at 7 PM, after which you get to spread out to the main floor at 8 PM (there will still be plenty of wine left, don’t worry).
