The Standard Plaza Returns Next Week With Pizza

Last year, The Standard hotel invited chef Seamus Mullen to set up shop in front of the hotel for a pop-up of sorts. This year, the alfresco cafe is back, but instead of Mullen there's a new menu from Dan Silverman (of the hotel's Standard Grill) and Frank Pinello (Best Pizza in Williamsburg). The rotating selection will feature wood-fired pizzas topped with ingredients like mitake mushrooms, green market veggies and cured fennel sausage.

The seating on the plaza is first come, first served and the seasonal eatery will be open through September. Lunch and dinner will be served from 11:30 AM to midnight and diners can stay a little extra on Friday and Saturdays, when the venue stays open until 1 AM. The official opening is scheduled for Monday, May 5.
