The Diving Horse Reopens Tuesday

Memorial Day Weekend is about to be upon us, but there’s another sign that summer is just over the horizon: on May 21, The Diving Horse opens for the season. The Avalon, NJ restaurant from Ed Hackett and Dan Clark (Pub & Kitchen, Fitler Dining Room) brings a bit of sophistication to the Jersey Shore, while still totally embracing its laid back beach environment. Basically, it’s the best of both worlds.

New Pub & Kitchen chef Eli Collins will act as executive chef and longtime team member Palmer Marinelli will oversee the kitchen as chef de cuisine. The opening menu is full of seafood and produce, everything you’d want to eat after a day on the sand. Settle in with a cocktail and the black bass crudo, then switch to wine to pair with the soft shell crab and cauliflower caponata.

From Tuesday on, dinner will be served 5-10 PM daily, through September 14. Check out the full menu below and make plans for your first trip down, sooner rather than later (609-368-5000).
