Stella Rossa's Sibling Stella Barra Debuts Today in Hollywood + Menu

As promised, chef Jeff Mahin and the Stella Rossa Pizza Bar team debut their new Stella Barra today in the Arclight complex in Hollywood. Unlike Boho, which the new Cal-Ital spot replaces, this shows promise. First, there are Mahin's pizzas topped with seasonal ingredients, but also more offerings like sandwiches (a la this), salads, weekly pasta specials and other small plates. Also like Stella Rossa, there are playful cocktails like the SB Limonata with limoncello, Dolin Blanc, gin and seltzer, plus well-curated wines and beers. There's a nice little coffee bar in the front right when you walk in, which also means breakfast goods like morning buns, fresh-baked muffins, coffee cake, English muffin breakfast sandwiches, an Italian riff on a breakfast burrito and Intelligentsia coffee.

The space looks more like its Santa Monica sibling, with an open kitchen, a nice center bar and plenty of seats in front of those floor-to-ceiling windows. Stella Barra opens for dinner tonight at 4 PM, and for breakfast, lunch and dinner tomorrow. Check out a sample of the dinner menu below, but note, they're still making adjustments.
