Questlove to Play at Philly Launch of Brooklyn Flea

This Saturday will mark the first day of service for Hybird NYC, the Chelsea Market chicken and dumplings stand from Questlove and Stephen Starr. It's just the latest in a string of Brotherly Love-Big Apple cross-collaborations. For example, on June 2, Brooklyn Flea will launch a weekly Philly version of its ultrapopular outdoor bazaar, and it looks like Philly-native Questlove is again in the picture.

Brooklyn Flea confirmed on Twitter what Philadelphia Weekly had heard, that the Roots frontman will rock the stage at The Piazza during the Sunday fest. In addition to great beats, look for 100 vendors offering vintage clothing, art, jewelry, crafts and plenty of great food. So far, the edible lineup includes Paesano’s, Lil’ Pop Shop, Princeton’s The Bent Spoon and Brooklyn’s Red Hook Lobster Pound. The fest runs 10 AM-5 PM, and even with the hot live music, it’s free to attend.

  1. Brooklyn Flea Philly is actually a weekly market, every Sunday from 10am to 5pm, starting June 2. See you at the Flea!

  3. There will be about 5 Brooklyn vendors expanding to Philly among the 100 total at the Flea.

Also, the market is on Sundays, not Saturdays as the article mentions.
