OK, it was a bit more thoughtful than just eating a squirrel. Last night, Reader’s Mike Sula won the M.F.K. Fisher Distinguished Writing Award for his piece “Chicken of the Trees.” The long-form article chronicled Sula’s journey around the Midwest learning about the history and technique of squirrel consumption. Nina Barrett from WBEZ won a radio award for her series “Fear of Frying.” This is the second year in a row she took the prize.
