Twist Eatery, a new bakery and cafe, opened its doors this morning, serving breakfast, lunch and bakery fare to the Miracle Mile crowd. Twist is owned by Joelle Bercovitch, daughter of the Charles David shoe empire, and cheffed by Anna Statman, formerly of Silver Lake's Towne & Country Cafe; the two have created a stylishly modern spot for updated comfort-food classics.
You'll find everything from biscuit sandwiches with eggs and bacon or granola and fruit for breakfast, to pulled-brisket sandwiches at lunch and a case full of prepared salads like Greek orzo, tropical quinoa and lentil-walnut. Within a couple blocks of the bustling Sycamore Kitchen and the forthcoming Republique on the way, this stretch of shops and galleries has something new to snap about. Twist Eatery is open daily from 8 AM-6 PM.
