Michael White's SoHo Steakhouse Costata Debuts Friday

Michael White's Altamarea Group is gearing up to open it's newest concept, a steakhouse dubbed Costata with offerings from PJ Calapa, who also oversees the kitchen at White's high-end Ai Fiori. The new space is large, with 140 seats spread out over two floors of a townhouse and a third floor available for private dining that can fit an additional 60. The menu will feature dry-aged beef from Creekstone and meaty fare ranging from rack of lamb to 35-day-aged ribeye, but therre will also be a large variety of seafood and - this being White world - a selection of house-made pastas that cane be ordered as appetizers or entrees.

The restaurant will be housed in the former Fiamma space at 206 Spring Street, and the reservation lines open on Thursday. It's sure to be a hot ticket, so don't hesitate to book that table ASAP (212-334-3320).
