Lucy's Fried Chicken Fries Kale for Us


We recently headed to Lucy’s Fried Chicken to see if owner and chef James Holmes could take a mega-trendy superfood like kale and fry it to perfection. Holmes was a little hesitant, but the end product came out so well that he put it on the menu as a special that evening: grilled gulf oysters with habanero-compound butter and fried kale atop a bed of Texas caviar.
