Chef Connie Tran is moving her BEP Vietnamese Kitchen brunch pop-up to the Daily Dose in Downtown LA, the uber-cool cafe hidden down an alleyway near Church & State. Starting today, the eight-course family-style menu is served in the Gallery Room and takes place every other Sunday. The menu includes dishes like spiced crispies, mien bi (glass noodle soup with opo squash, minced shrimp and scallions), chung ruoc (deviled eggs with shredded pork jerky) and bo song khoi (smoked pho brisket in Peking pancakes). $37 per person, which includes non-alcoholic drinks (BYO, no corkage). Tran plans to stay here indefinitely, as well as launch a night-market-style pop-up this summer (1820 Industrial St.).
