Harvard Square Hosts 30th Annual Mayfair Sunday

On Sunday, May 5, head over to Harvard Square for its 30th Annual Mayfair festival with a Cinco de Mayo twist. It’s an outdoor all-day event throughout the local streets, featuring eats from more than 40 area restaurants and food vendors, including Grafton Street, Border CafeJohn Harvard’s Brew House and many others.

Along with the food, there’s more than 150 artisans and merchants selling arts and crafts, jewelry and vintage clothing. Four different stages are set up to host live music and dance, including Mariachi Veritas de Harvard, who will be roaming street, but also performing on the Main Stage at 3 PM.

In addition, according to the Harvard Square Business Association Website, the organization will hold a raffle and auction to benefit two beloved, recovering victims of the Boston Marathon explosion tragedy. A raffle area will be set up at the HSBA Kiosk, located in front of the Out of Town News kiosk. Prizes include a one-night stay at The Charles Hotel and dinner for two at Henrietta’s Table, among many other great prizes. A GiveForward donation page has also been set up for the couple.
