Food & Wine Names 2013 Best New Pastry Chefs

Food & Wine magazine has announced the five winners of their 2013 Best New Pastry Chefs today, the second year that the award has been given. Chefs who have run a pastry department for five years or fewer are eligible and all the winners will be featured in the July issue of Food & Wine, on newsstands June 14. (The winner of the People’s Best New Pastry Chef award, selected by the dining public in an online poll, was announced a few months ago to be Jodi Elliot of Foreign & Domestic in Austin.)
